TRIVIALISING A GREAT SUNNAH

JAMIAT KZN GUILTY OF TRIVIALISING AND ADVOCATING THE DISCARDING OF A GREAT SUNNAT OF OUR BELOVED NABI (SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM)

THE ENEMIES OF ALLAH TA`ALA AND HIS RASOOL (SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) ARE EXPOSING THEMSELVES

Hadhrat Qatada (radhiallahu anhu) reports, “I asked Anas, ‘Was it a custom of the Companions of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) to shake hands with one another?’ He said, “Yes. [Bukhari]

Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands except that their sins will be forgiven before they separate.” [Sunan Abi Dawood]

Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), said, “Shake hands and rancour will disappear.

Someone asked Hadhrat Abu Zarr (radhiallahu anhu), “Did Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) shake hands with you when you met him?” He replied: “I never met him without his shaking hands with me.” [Sunan Abi Dawood]

In a recent email circulated by the Jamiat so-called ‘ulama’ of KZN they brazenly propagate falsities in a desperate attempt to bootlick their disbelieving masters, by asking the Ummah to discard a beautiful Sunnat of our beloved Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). The fear for this virus has proven toxic to their Imaan and brains.

To further add insult to injury, they deceptively relegate the status of a Sunnat by shamelessly claiming: In normal circumstances, it is recommended (Mustahab) for one to shake/join hands (Musaafaha) when one Muslim meets another Muslim. However, in the current circumstances, one would be excused for not shaking or joining hands when meeting others out of precaution.” They have the audacity to place the word “recommended” in bold. Not only are they guilty of relegating a Sunnat, they emphasise this crime of theirs.

The Hadith teaches us that when Muslims shake hands, rancour will disappear, yet these ‘ulama’ teach the opposite, hence they encourage hatred and rancour amongst Muslims. Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) taught us to close the gaps in Salaat and this will create unity. The ‘ulama’ teach the opposite with their disgusting ‘social distancing’ in Salaat, thereby inciting disunity in the Ummah.

MUSAFAHA IS SUNNAT

Some of our Ulama have made it abundantly clear that it is Makrooh to make the usual Musafaha after Salaat, notwithstanding that indeed Musafaha is SUNNAT.” [Shaami, vol. 2, page 235]

It is also stated in Shaami, “(Musafaha) Because indeed it is an established Sunnat Mutawaatira (an act that is perpetually transmitted and practiced throughout all ages from the era of Nabi – sallallahu alaihi wasallam), owing to the statement of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), “He who makes Musafaha with his Muslim  brother, and shakes his hands, his sins fall off.”

It is stated in Fatawa Qaasimiyya, “To make musafaha with both hands is Sunnat.” [Vol. 11, page 387]

This is also further corroborated in Fataawa Rahimiyyah, vol. 10, “Musafaha is Sunnat.”

The one weak proof they found to ‘prove’ their point, in fact debunks their theory. Their ‘proof’ states that (even) when a person has an illness, it would be Makrooh (disliked) to shake hands with others. So, even if a person is positively infected, the Shariah does not deem it totally impermissible to shake hands. What then justifies the abolition of the Sunnat under normal circumstances with people who are outwardly healthy?

To totally abandon this great Sunnat of Musafaha merely out of fear of getting the virus from someone else who is outwardly healthy, is totally criminal and Haraam. This virus, like the common cold and flu, will be here to stay indefinitely. When will they then deem it prudent to start shaking hands again!?

Why deprive the Mu`mineen from attaining the great benefits of this Sunnat and also of the virtues and merits in practicing this great Sunnat.

These ‘ulama’ should hang their heads in shame.

HARAAM SANITIZERS

In another totally shameful and Haraam ‘fatwa’, the Jamiat KZN says, “Therefore, it is permissible to use hand sanitizers or disinfectants that contain ethanol alcohol to sanitize the hand and to disinfect the Masjid.

Here again they shamelessly place the word “permissible” in bold. Their impudence and insolence know no bounds.

Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Every intoxicant is HARAAM.”

Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Whatever intoxicates in a large quantity, even its small quantity is Haraam (although it will not intoxicate).”

Ethanol is THE alcohol used in beers, brandies, vodka and almost all liquors available today. Ethanol is THE intoxicant in beers, brandies, etc., etc.

It is an accepted Fiqhi ruling that whatever is Haraam to consume is also classified as Najis, like wine, pork, urine, etc.

Therefore, in the Deen of Islam, Ethanol-based (in fact, any alcohol-based) sanitizer is Haraam and Najis. How can this EVER be used to sanitise one’s hands or a Musjid??? La Howla Wa Laa Quwwata Illa Billahil Aliyil Azeem!

May Allah Ta`ala have mercy on this Ummah
